After an introduction into the basics, students will learn in the lecture about individual labour law and large areas of the collective labour law. Individual labour law will give an insight into the definition of an employee, the grounds of the employment relationship, the rights and obligations of employers and employees, the performance problems, liability issues, and protection against dismissal. In collective labour law the principles of autonomy of pay settlement, including the right of association, the collective agreement law, the right to industrial action and the right of participation of the work council will be presented.

Competencies / intended learning achievements
