Contents

In this module, the focus is on the presentation of the financial domain of a company based on profitability, liquidity and risk. Another focus is on the Valuation, the Value Based Management of a company and the different process stages of Risk management.

  • Concepts of Value-Based Management
The Case Studies are designed to allow students an intensive insight into the challenges of Financial Management. The main goal is to apply the content and the theories of the lecture as well as a critical reflection of the results.

Competencies / intended learning achievements

With the successful completion of the module students will be able to:
  • validate the determinants of the Return and evaluate a model for derivation the Return on Equity,
  • assess the importance of Risk Management and Financial Planning for the company,
  • evaluate the different concepts of Valuation,
  • evaluate the different concepts of Value-Based Management.
