The assignment of topics for the research project takes place directly with the respective chairs after consultation. Specific topics, content, competencies and literature references as well as information on examination performance, attendance and self-study times and determination of grades are announced directly by the chairs or agreed with them.

Evaluation of grades

The grade of the module examination is also the module grade.


The research project is a form of course that accompanies the studies, which enables in particular the independent and coordinated work on related topics or problems according to the chosen course of studies in the field of economics or technical studies, individually or as group work (usually up to a maximum of four students). A research project should not exceed the duration of two semesters. An interdisciplinary research project can be approved upon application. The board of examiners decides on the admission and professional classification of the research project when the application is submitted. The application for the research project will be supplemented by the supervisor (professor) with the topic of the research project and the date of issue, signed and immediately forwarded to the Examinations Office.

There are no other requirements regarding content or form.

Competencies / intended learning achievements

Upon successful completion of the module, the students will be able to conduct independent literature research, development, implementation, evaluation and presentation of a scientific question and to work out its importance for practice.
