Evaluation of grades

The grade of the module examination is also the module grade.

The students get credits for the submission of the strategy paper and for the final presentation. The strategy paper accounts for 40% and the final presentation for 60% of the final grade.

The business simulation is conducted with the help of a software.

Competencies / intended learning achievements

With successful completion of the module the students will be able to
  • analyze the consequences of their managerial decisions.
  • recognize coherences among marketing, distribution, research and development, purchase, production, human resource management, finance and accounting.
  • take operative decisions.
  • prepare a final presentation.
  • summarize the original business goals and the measures taken.
  • independently create marketing plans with the help of the instruments of the marketing mix
  • interpret recurring operating numbers of the different functional areas
  • develop a business strategy on the basis of key performance indicators.
  • decide upon measures regarding the strategy implementation.


Students will get access to the business simulation software.

Requirements for attendance of the module (informal)

Formal/Content-related: In the course of the business simulation, knowledge in different economic branches is required. Therefore, it is recommended not to participate in this module before the 5th semester. In addition to the registration in the examination office, a binding registration in the KIS is necessary.

Requirements for attendance of the module (formal)

Students have to be present at the kick-off-meeting. In addition, it is mandatory to submit a strategy paper. Each participant has to take part on a final group presentation.
