Competencies / intended learning achievements
The following expertises will be promoted:
- Assess the weldability of components
- Basic understanding of industrial fusion welding
- Specify fusion welding processes for safe and economical application
- Knowledge of the microstructural changes in weld joints, and especially in the heat affected zone, resulting from various welding processes
The students are able to:
- reflect basics about a variety of manufacturing processes and their fields of application
- reflect knowledge about the influencing factors on the process parameters in manufacturing processes
- assess, evaluate and plan technologies
- select and design manufacturing processes
