1. Lecture

The students are able to

  • reproduce and describe knowledge about friction, wear and lubrication and to name and evaluate the respective types.
  • name, describe, analyze, evaluate, design, select and apply bearing arrangements and bearing types.
  • reproduce and name, describe, analyze, evaluate, and apply knowledge of seals.
  • identify, describe, label, analyze, size, and compare drive systems and solve application-related problems.
  • reproduce knowledge of clutches and brakes and name, describe, analyze and evaluate and design, and label and identify the respective types.
  • identify, describe, label, analyze, and compare gears and gearing, and solve application-related problems.
  • reproduce knowledge of traction gears and name, describe, analyze and evaluate and identify and design the respective types.
  • reproduce knowledge of friction gears to analyze and evaluate and design, and to label and identify the respective types.
