The students are able to
- reproduce and name, describe, evaluate and apply knowledge of design fundamentals and design guidelines and to name, analyze and select corresponding design materials.
- reproduce, analyze, evaluate, select and apply knowledge of standards, fits, tolerances and tolerance zones.
- dimension and analyze elements and systems and perform strength calculations.
- name, describe, analyze, assign, select, and evaluate elastic elements and springs.
- name different types of bolts, evaluate, analyze, size, and design bolts or bolted connections.
- reproduce knowledge of shafts and axles and name, describe, analyze and evaluate them.
