The students are able
  • to name joining processes for fiber reinforced polymer composites
  • to explain the basic physical principles of the joining processes
  • to identify or apply design parameters, application limits and process parameters of the joining processes
  • to analyze joining techniques suitable for composite materials in structural lightweight applications
  • to evaluate a selection of joining methods under given boundary conditions
