  • Measuring sustainability (life cycle analysis, sustainability indicators)
  • Sustainability on a strategic level (environment/energy management, corporate social responsibility)
  • Sustainability in manufacturing technology
  • Sustainability in non-value-adding activities

Competencies / intended learning achievements

The students are able to
  • Describe and compare technical and organizational approaches
  • Identify interrelations between the different levels of sustainability and explain the importance of a holistic approach
  • Apply analysis methods to identify problem areas in a company
  • Develop solutions and promote their implementation
