  • Process engineering design of general workup schemes in bioprocessing (by type of product).
  • Processes for cell harvesting and cell disruption
  • Processes for cell and cell debris separation (filtration, centrifugation, coagulation, flocculation)
  • Product purification (precipitation, evaporation, extraction)
  • Chromatographic methods for product purification
  • Membrane processes in bioprocess treatment
  • Discussion of case studies from industrial practice
  • The focus of the content is on the purification of microbial processes (bacteria, yeasts and fungi).

  • explain the separation of biomolecules
