  • reproduce the systematics and application areas of contemporary industrial joining technologies
  • select material-specific lightweight joining technologies for vehicle construction
  • to name requirements for joining technologies for modern vehicle construction
  • classify joining techniques into mechanical joining techniques, welding and brazing techniques, basic adhesive bonding techniques and hybrid joining technologies
  • to assess the fatigue behavior and durability of joining technologies
  • select joining technologies for repair
  • to name methods for disassembling and recycling
