- About [MAT-50-KPOOL-4]: Title: "Specialisation Optimisation and Stochastics (B.Sc.)";
- About [MAT-50-KPOOL-4]: A course from the course pool must be selected.
- About [MAT-50-KPOOL-4]: The study achievement [U-Schein] proof of successful participation in the exercise classes (ungraded) must be obtained.
Other (advanced) courses with a total of 4V+2U from the specialisation "Optimisation and Stochastics" can be selected, too.
Examination achievement PL1
- Form of examination: oral examination (20-30 Min.)
- Examination Frequency: each semester
- Examination number: 82090
("Module Exam Specialization A")
It is generally possible to give the module examination PL1 to a different course than the required study achievements (proof(s) of successful participation in the exercise classes). This requires that none of the courses involved has already been included in another module.
Evaluation of grades
The grade of the module examination is also the module grade.
Contents
See the respective course descriptions.
Competencies / intended learning achievements
Upon successful completion of this module, the students have acquired in-depth knowledge in a (further) area of business mathematics. They have learnt to perform independently scientific work and have gained further experience in the presentation and communication of mathematical topics. They are able to name and prove the essential propositions of the lectures and to classify and explain the connections presented.
By completing the given exercises, the students have developed a skilled, precise and independent handling of the terms, propositions and methods taught in the lecture. They have learnt how to apply the methods to new problems, analyze them and develop solution strategies independently or by team work.
Literature
See the respective course descriptions.
Registration
Registration for the exercise classes via the online administration system URM (https://urm.mathematik.uni-kl.de).
Requirements for attendance (informal)
Further requirements depending on the choice of course (see the respective course description).
Modules:
Requirements for attendance (formal)
Proof of successful participation in the exercise classes of "Fundamentals of Mathematics I" or "Fundamentals of Mathematics II" (e.g. from the module [MAT-10-1-M-2] Fundamentals of Mathematics) is prerequisite for participation in the module examination.
