Evaluation of grades

The grade of the module examination is also the module grade.


  • concept of the BIM method, interoperability across disciplines and life cycle phases
  • standards and data formats (e.g. IFC, GAEB, COBie, BIMsie ..)
  • persistence in databases and files, data consistency
  • multi-models/ partial-models, domain-specific model views and geometric representations
  • distributed (collaborative) work, BIM servers and services
  • importance of BIM for Facility Management and possibilities of use
  • introduction of a BIM (modeling-)software (e.g. Revit) and editing a project

Competencies / intended learning achievements

On successfully completing the module students will be able to,
  • know the application area of Building Information Modeling and the resulting added value for Real Estate and Facility Management
  • know the contents of information models, relevant standards and software that supports BIM
  • using a BIM (modeling-)software (e.g. Revit) and successfully handle modelling tasks with increased complexity.
