Desired learning outcomes:
Students who successfully complete this module are able to,
understand and evaluate calculations for individual construction works and construction methods from an economic point of view.
They are familiarised with the structure and implementation of cost forecasts and the calculation of construction works for new buildings, existing buildings and maintenance work.
After that students are introduced to the topic of supplements according to VOB/B.
In particular the causes for supplements, the basis for claims for supplements according to VOB/B as well as the assessment of supplements by the architect are explained.
A further topic is the causes of so-called speculative prices and their evaluation when awarding contracts, taking current public procurement laws into account.
