Competencies / intended learning achievements
The students will be able:
- to match a compressor and a turbine for exhaust gas turbochargers
- to assess the operating behavior of centrifugal compressors at part-load conditions
- to design radial turbines and asses the unsteady turbine operation
- to assess problems related to Low-Cycle Fatigue, High-Cycle Fatigue and Thermo-Mechanical Fatigue of exhaust gas turbochargers
