- Cultivation of microorganisms in shaking flasks, cell counting, biomass determination
- Synthesis and characterization of homogeneous catalysts
- Determination of operating parameters for submerged cultivation

Competencies / intended learning achievements
The students
- should be able to plan and carry out the synthesis of homogeneous catalysts under guidance.

Requirements for attendance (formal)
According to the German Ordinance on Hazardous Substances, the prerequisite for carrying out practical work is proven participation in a safety training course not longer than one year ago. Such safety instructions are offered by the Department of Chemistry at regular intervals; time and place will be announced in good time on a notice board and on the Internet.
