Notice

The proseminars offered in the following semester will be presented at the "Proseminarbörse" of the Department of Mathematics. This takes place in the penultimate week of the lecture period of the preceding semester. Right after the "Proseminarbörse", the registration in the online administration system URM is activated.

Contents

Modelling of real world problems from industry, economy and society by using mathematical methods. The students work independently in project groups on concrete problems (starting with the choice of model, mathematical methods, interpretation of the solution and discussion of possible implementations).

Requirements for attendance (informal)

Profound knowledge of multi-dimensional Analysis and Linear Algebra, e.g. from the course [MAT-10-12-K-2] or [MAT-10-12L-K-2], programming skills, e.g. from the course [MAT-14-00-K-2] or [MAT-14-00L-K-2].
