Field course: Field work with overnight tent camping at Schneeweiderhof; method oriented research projects and individual scientific projects that are developed by the students
Lab work (TU, department plant ecology and systematics): Lab analysis, data evaluation, statistics, presentation techniques, accompanying literature seminar
Subjects: Activity patterns, performance and ecological plasticity of selected cryptogam species under natural conditions. Vegetation analysis of structure and dynamics of cryptogam communities. Plant functional groups, environmental filtering, anthropogenic disturbance and ecology of vegetation regeneration
Method spectrum: gas exchange, chlorophyll fluorescence, micro climate measurement, experimental design and statistics, sampling and analysis of species communities, species identification, project oriented research by students
