Contents

Modern methods of molecular genetics and genomics. Mammalian cell cultures as a model system, working under sterile conditions, preparation of buffers and media, basic techniques for culturing of human cell lines, cell growth analysis, quantitative and qualitative analysis of cellular response to different stress factors such as DNA damage agents and oxidants, preparation of cell lysates, SDS-PAGE, Western blot, use of online databases such as PubMed and NCBI, BLAST searches and sequence alignments, presentation of scientific data, basics of scientific writing; good scientific practice.
