Mammalian cell cultures as a model system, working under sterile conditions, preparation of buffers and media, basic techniques for culturing of human cell lines, site-directed mutagenesis, construction of a vector carrying a mutated gene, plasmid purification, DNA sequencing, cell transfection, cell growth analysis, quantitative and qualitative analysis of cellular response to different stress factors such as DNA damage agents or overexpression of mutant protein, RNAi, flow cytometry, preparation of cell lysates, SDS-PAGE, Western blot, quantification of complex biological data, use of online databases such as PubMed and NCBI, BLAST searches and sequence alignments, presentation of scientific data, basics of scientific writing; good scientific practice.
Will be provided during the orientation meeting.
