Competencies / intended learning achievements
− Overview of synaptic transmission, which is central for understanding of brain function and behavior.
− Understanding the molecular basis of human diseases and to evaluate them critically. Gaining the ability to extending these concepts to other related diseases.
− Learn to develop novel pharmacological strategies. Reading and interpreting current research papers and reviews about this topic, and understanding methodological approaches used.

− Learning to simplify complicated topics and ideas and to identify their key aspects.
